eCommerce Website Design & Development

eCommerce

We build online stores that make buying easy.

Our in-house team designs, writes and develops every store, from WooCommerce shops to a fully custom Odoo build, so your products are simple to find and simple to order.

Start a Conversation

From catalog to checkout

An online store has a lot of moving parts. We keep the process clear and organized, so you can keep running your business while we build.

Strategize

Every eCommerce project starts with a straightforward conversation about your products, your customers and your budget.

From there, we recommend the platform and features that fit how you sell, from a WooCommerce store to a fully custom build.

Research & Catalog Planning

We study your buyers and your competitors before we design a single product page.

Then we plan how your catalog should be organized, by product line, by industry or by the vehicle a part fits, so shoppers can find the right item quickly. That structure is what the whole store is built around.

Product Content & Wireframes

Product pages have to answer the questions a salesperson would. We work with you on descriptions, specs, category copy and the details that help a buyer decide. For a big purchase, that might mean spec sheets and a quote option next to the cart button. For a configurable product, it means making each choice easy to understand. All of it goes into wireframes that our designers and developers build from.

Design & Development

We design the store to look like your brand and make buying feel easy. On the development side, we build on WooCommerce or Odoo, depending on your catalog and the systems you already run. That's where features like vehicle fitment selectors, product options with live pricing, subscriptions and multi-currency checkout come in. You see the store take shape along the way and give feedback before anything is final.

Quality Testing & Launch

Before launch, we test the whole checkout, from cart to confirmation email, on phones, tablets and desktops. We connect and test the integrations your store depends on, such as payment gateways and financing options. Then we help you choose hosting sized for a store rather than a brochure site. If you want us to host and maintain it after launch, we will, and if you don't, that's fine too.

Good company to be in.

Aviation leaders, century-old manufacturers, healthcare providers, and neighborhood favorites all show up on the same client list. Whatever your industry expects from a website, we've likely already built for it.

Who's Behind Your Store

Stores we've actually built

We'd rather show you live stores than make promises. Core 4x4 sells more than 1,700 made-to-order suspension parts through the custom Odoo store we built with them.

A full team on your store

Your designer, developer and copywriter work alongside a project director who knows your store from the first call to launch. Everyone is in-house, so your questions get answered by the people doing the work instead of being passed along to a contractor.

Built around how you sell

You know your products and your buyers better than anyone, so your input shapes the store from day one. Some customers add to cart and go, while others need a quote first. We plan the store around both.

When your store needs a rebuild

If sales have flattened and the store gets harder to run every year, the website may be part of the problem.

Here are the signs we see most often.

You've outgrown your platform

Core 4x4 started on a WooCommerce store we built, then grew to 1,700+ parts with tiers, colors and add-ons. We rebuilt it inside Odoo, so store and business run on one system.

Shoppers can't find the right product

If buyers have to call to find out what fits, the store is making them work too hard. Clear categories, filters and product pages let them check out with confidence.

The store doesn't match the product

Savage Bros has built confectionery equipment since 1855, but its old site looked like any other small business. The new WooCommerce store finally carries the weight of 170 years of craftsmanship.

Too much work behind the scenes

If you're copying orders between your store and inventory system by hand, it's costing you time. We connect the store to the systems you already use, or build it inside them.

In our clients' own words

“Our sales have gone up year-over-year since we let you guys take over everything. We couldn’t be happier!“

eCommerce FAQs

Here are straight answers to the questions store owners ask us most, from platforms and timelines to what happens after launch. If you're planning a new store or moving an old one, start here.

Which eCommerce platforms do you build on?

We build most online stores on WooCommerce, which runs on WordPress and gives you full control of your store and your content. For businesses that manage products and orders in Odoo, we build the store inside Odoo, the way we did for Core 4x4. If you're on another platform, we'll talk through whether a move makes sense. We moved Dressage Adventures from Shopify to WooCommerce when its growing library of programs and memberships needed more room.

What's included in an eCommerce website project?

An eCommerce project with us covers strategy, catalog planning, product and category copy, design, development, testing and launch. We organize your catalog so shoppers can find what they need, write the content that helps them decide, and build the cart, checkout and payment setup. Before launch, we test the full purchase path on phones, tablets and desktops. Your designer, developer and copywriter are all on our in-house team, with one project director as your main contact.

Can you handle complex products, quotes or memberships?

Yes, complex catalogs are where custom eCommerce work pays off. For Core 4x4, shoppers pick their vehicle, choose a tier, a powder-coat color and add-ons, and watch the price update as they go. For Savage Bros, every product page offers both Add to Cart and a quote or contact option, because some equipment purchases need a conversation first. For Dressage Adventures, we built subscriptions, Silver and Gold memberships and checkout in six currencies.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Most eCommerce builds take several months from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on the size of your catalog, how complex the products are, which systems the store connects to and how much product content needs to be written or moved over. A small store with simple products moves faster than a catalog with thousands of configurable parts. We set a realistic schedule at the start, based on your actual scope, and hold to it.

How much does an eCommerce website cost?

The cost of an online store depends on your catalog and how it needs to sell, so we scope each project before we price it. The biggest factors are the number of products, product options and variations, custom features like fitment selectors or quote requests, and integrations with inventory, accounting or business software. A store selling a few dozen simple items is a very different build from one with thousands of made-to-order parts. Tell us about your products and we'll give you a straight answer on what it takes.

Can I manage products and orders myself after launch?

Yes, we build every store so your team can add products, update prices and manage orders without a developer. On WooCommerce, we set up product templates so new items follow the same layout automatically. Savage Bros adds equipment, recipes and spec sheets this way without touching code. On Odoo, your products, pricing and orders live in the same system you already use to run the business, so there's no second catalog to keep in sync.

Do you host and maintain online stores after launch?

Yes, and the same team that built your store can look after it. Our webmaster service covers hosting, software and plugin updates, nightly backups, malware removal and 24/7 support, with no retainer required. Keeping a store's software current matters because checkout and customer data depend on it. If you'd rather host the store yourself, that's your call, and once the project is paid in full, the store is yours.
