The Client

The Salt Lake Bees, Utah's Triple-A baseball team and the affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, are owned by the Larry H. Miller Company. In 2023 the company announced a new, privately funded ballpark for the Bees in Daybreak, a master-planned community in South Jordan, Utah, with America First Credit Union as naming rights partner. While the stadium was being planned and built, the project was introduced to fans, sponsors and event planners as Bees Ballpark. It has since opened as The Ballpark at America First Square.

The Challenge

When the Larry H. Miller Company announced a new home for the Salt Lake Bees, the ballpark was still years away from its first pitch. The stadium was planned to open in 2025, ground had only just been broken, and most of what people could see were conceptual renderings. Fans, neighbors, future event hosts and potential sponsors all had questions long before there was anything to visit.

The project needed a home online straight away: a place to announce the move to South Jordan, explain what the new ballpark and Daybreak would offer, share news as construction moved forward, and start conversations with the companies and groups who would book events and buy sponsorships once the gates opened.

Our Approach

We built Bees Ballpark as a single, story-driven preview site. The home page introduced the stadium and its Daybreak setting, then moved into what the venue would offer: corporate, family and community events, group experiences, brand partnerships and season seats for 2025. Each of those sections ended in a clear call to get in touch, so every visit could turn into a conversation with the Bees' team.

The visual design leaned into game day: a bold slab-serif wordmark and headlines, a cream, black and gold palette, and a giant "Take me out to the ball game" lyric scrolling behind a collage of players, renderings and Daybreak scenery. We built it on WordPress and Elementor, so the Bees' team could publish news, update FAQs and keep the site current on their own as the project progressed.

What We Built

The preview site gave a ballpark that didn't exist yet a voice. Choose a feature to see how it looked.

  • The home page opened with the move to South Jordan and what it meant for the community, followed by a collage of Bees players, conceptual renderings and Daybreak scenery set against a scrolling "Take me out to the ball game" lyric. Visitors understood the project in a single scroll.

A presence before the stadium

The Bees' new ballpark had a polished, branded home online years before opening day. Fans and neighbors could see what was coming to South Jordan instead of piecing it together from press coverage.

Every section led to a conversation

Events, group experiences, sponsorships and season seats each had their own pitch and a clear contact button. The site worked as a sales tool for a venue that couldn't yet give tours.

Easy to keep current

Built on WordPress and Elementor, the site let the Bees' team post news and update FAQs without a developer. That mattered for a project that was still taking shape.

A look worthy of the ballpark

Slab-serif headlines, a cream, black and gold palette and big photography gave the project the energy of game day. The responsive layout carried the same look onto phones.
