Website Development, Built to Last

Website Development

Some websites only need to look good. Yours might also need to take payments, manage members, talk to your business software or handle a catalog with thousands of parts. Our in-house developers plan how all of it fits together before writing any code, then build it to stay fast, secure and easy to change as you grow.

Start a Conversation

Plan first, then build

Every development project starts with a conversation about what your site has to do.

From that first call, we're asking about your customers, your systems and your budget, so we can recommend a build that fits all three.

Research & Planning

Before we build anything, we learn how your business actually works.

We look at your audience, your competitors and the tools you already run on, from your CRM to your inventory system, then plan the site's structure and integrations around them. That planning is what keeps surprises out of the development phase.

Content & Wireframes

Good code can't fix an unclear message, so we sort out the content early.

Our writers work with you to explain your business in plain language your customers will understand. That copy goes into wireframes that map out every page, form and path a visitor might take. Our developers build from those wireframes, so nothing important gets improvised at the end.

Development

This is where Preston's team turns the plan into a working site.

We build on the platform that fits the job, usually WordPress, with Next.js or Odoo when a project calls for it, and we write custom features where an off-the-shelf plugin would fall short. You see progress along the way and weigh in before anything is final, so the finished site works the way your team does.

Testing & Launch

Before launch, we test every page, form and integration on the browsers and devices your customers use.

Our project manager runs the quality checks, so problems get caught by us instead of your visitors. We connect third-party tools like payment gateways, CRMs and booking systems and make sure the data lands where it should. Then we help you choose hosting that fits the site. If you'd like us to host and maintain it afterward, we're happy to, but it's your call.

Good company to be in.

Aviation leaders, century-old manufacturers, healthcare providers, and neighborhood favorites all show up on the same client list. Whatever your industry expects from a website, we've likely already built for it.

Who Builds Your Site

A technical director on every build

Preston, our Technical Director, decides how your site will be put together before development starts, from the platform it runs on to the integrations it needs, so there are no surprises halfway through.

Built in-house, start to finish

Our development team is in-house, and nothing gets sent offshore.

We're based in Orem, Utah, and the people who plan your build are the people who write and review the code.

Room to grow after launch

We build so the next change is easy.

Clean structure, current software and pages your own team can edit mean you shouldn't need a rebuild every time you add a product, a location or a new service.

Signs it's time to rebuild

Plenty of websites look fine and still hold the business back.

We see it all the time: slow pages, features held together with plugins and code nobody wants to touch. If any of the signs below sound familiar, a rebuild is worth a conversation.

Code nobody can maintain

If your site was coded overseas and every small change means a ticket and a wait, you're paying for it twice.

We build in-house with a US-based team, and nothing gets outsourced.

Slow pages, lost visitors

If your pages crawl, people leave before they see what you offer.

Clean, current code keeps visitors around long enough to call, book or buy.

A template you've outgrown

Templates are made to fit everyone, so they rarely fit anyone well.

When you need a member area, a custom quote form or a product configurator, a custom build does what a template can't.

Behind on mobile and search

Most visitors arrive on a phone, and search engines notice when a site is slow or awkward there. A new build fixes what's underneath, so the site works on every screen and is easy for Google to understand.

In our clients' own words

“Our sales have gone up year-over-year since we let you guys take over everything. We couldn’t be happier!“

Website Development FAQs

These are the questions we hear most from businesses planning a new site or a rebuild. If yours isn't here, bring it to our first call. We'll give you a straight answer, even if it's that you don't need a custom build. Bring the hard questions too.

What does website development with Fluid22 include?

Website development with us covers planning, building, testing and launching your site, plus any custom features or integrations it needs. Before development starts, our Technical Director maps out the platform, the page templates and how the site connects to your other tools. Our in-house developers then build it, our project manager runs quality checks across browsers and devices, and we handle the launch. Most projects pair development with our design and copywriting, but we also take on development work for designs and sites that already exist.

Which platforms and technologies do you build on?

Most of the sites we build run on WordPress, usually with Elementor or Beaver Builder so your team can edit pages without code. For online stores we use WooCommerce, and for businesses that already run on Odoo, like Core 4x4, we build the store inside Odoo itself. When a site needs to be especially fast or grow into a large set of landing pages, we build with Next.js, as we did for Simple Game Hosting. We recommend a platform based on what your site has to do and who will manage it, not on habit.

Can you build custom features like member portals or integrations?

Yes, custom features are a big part of what our development team does. For Dressage Adventures, we built a membership platform where one login opens every video training program a rider has bought, with subscriptions and checkout in six currencies. For Metric Engineering, we built an internal employee portal alongside the public site to keep 350+ staff informed. Other projects have needed calculators, searchable libraries, quote requests and connections to business software. If you can describe what it needs to do, we can plan how to build it.

Can you rebuild a site another developer or an overseas team built?

Yes, we often take over sites that have become hard to maintain. We start by reviewing what's there: the platform, the code, the plugins and what the business needs the site to do now. Sometimes the right answer is to fix and clean up what exists. When every change is slow and risky, a rebuild on a current platform is often the better investment, and we'll explain why before you commit to anything.

Who owns the website and code when the project is finished?

You do. Once the project is paid in full, ownership of the finished website, including its design, content and functionality, transfers to you. You're free to host it with us, host it somewhere else or bring in another developer later. We'd rather keep clients because the work is good than because they're locked in.

How long does a custom web development project take?

A small site can go from kickoff to launch in a few weeks, while larger builds with custom features, integrations or eCommerce usually take several months. The biggest factors are how many custom features the site needs, how many systems it connects to and how much content has to move over. Feedback and content turnaround matter too. We set a realistic schedule at the start, based on your actual scope, and hold to it.

Do you host and maintain the website after launch?

Yes, if you want us to. Our webmaster service covers hosting, software and plugin updates, nightly backups, malware removal and 24/7 support, with no retainer required. Because the team maintaining your site is the team that built it, fixes and new features don't start with someone learning your code from scratch. If you'd rather manage hosting yourself, we'll hand everything over cleanly.
