The Client

RVC Construction is a Salt Lake City-based general contractor that has been designing and managing construction projects across the U.S. for more than 40 years. Its roots trace back to Richardson Design Architects, founded in 1963, and that architectural background still shapes how RVC works. The company specializes in multifamily, hospitality, commercial and high-end residential construction, offering preconstruction, design/build, design/assist, design/bid/build and construction management services, with an RVC Hawaii division and RVC Signature Builders for custom homes.

The Challenge

RVC builds multifamily, hospitality, commercial and high-end residential projects across the country, and its roots go back to an architecture firm founded in 1963. That combination of design and construction under one roof is what sets RVC apart, but the company's previous website didn't make the case. Its home page was little more than a "Building Your Legacy" banner, a one-line promise and a link to the latest work, which gave developers and owners comparing general contractors very little to go on.

The new site had to serve several audiences at once. Developers needed to see a deep portfolio and understand RVC's delivery methods, homeowners needed a way into the custom-home side of the business, and the Hawaii division needed a presence of its own. Back-office staff and subcontractors also needed quick access to their own logins from every page.

Our Approach

We built the site around proof. The national portfolio is organized into seven sectors, from Multifamily and Hospitality to Restaurants and Tenant Improvements, and each sector card shows RVC's totals before opening into a gallery of individual projects with their own pages. The home page tells the architecture-meets-construction story in short, image-led sections and walks visitors through RVC's five delivery methods, with calls to start a project or call the owner directly.

The design pairs RVC's red, black and light gray with large photography of completed buildings and a condensed, industrial headline font that suits a builder. We built it on WordPress and Elementor, with every project managed as structured content and given its own page, so RVC's team can add a new job without building a page from scratch. We also edited the video footage used on the site to show the work in motion.

What We Built

The new site puts RVC's work and process front and center. Choose a feature to see it on the site.

  • Preconstruction, design/build, design/assist, design/bid/build and construction management each get an icon on the home page and a full explanation on the Services page. A callout invites visitors to define the right approach with the owner of RVC, with the phone number right on the button.

A site that looks like a serious builder

Bold photography of finished buildings, a strong red-and-black palette and confident type give RVC a presence that matches the size of the projects it takes on. The first impression now does the work a developer would otherwise do on a site visit.

The portfolio does the selling

Developers can go straight to the sector they care about and browse real projects, with RVC's sector totals shown up front. It answers the first question any owner asks a contractor, which is what they've built before.

One site for every part of the business

Commercial clients, custom-home buyers and Hawaii projects each have a clear place to go, and staff and subcontractors reach their logins from the top bar. Everything is managed from one WordPress install.

Easy for RVC to keep current

Projects are structured content, so adding a completed job is a matter of filling in a form rather than building a page. That keeps the portfolio growing with the company on a modern, maintainable WordPress and Elementor stack.
