Crafted Copper is a bar and entertainment venue in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan, open since 2021. Guests can order handcrafted cocktails and small plates at the bar, pour their own craft beer, cider and seltzer from the city's first self-pour tap wall, and play on Kalamazoo's first duckpin bowling lanes. The venue also hosts weekly specials, cocktail classes and private events, from back-half rentals around the lanes to full venue buyouts.
Crafted Copper opened in 2021 as a craft cocktail bar, and its first website was built around that: a moody, elegant look, a cocktail list and a few event links. The venue then grew into something bigger. It moved to downtown Kalamazoo and added the city's first self-pour tap wall and its first duckpin bowling lanes, and the old cocktail-lounge site no longer described the place people were actually walking into.
The new site had to explain two concepts many visitors had never tried, show what's on tap today, keep the cocktail and food menus accurate, and give groups a clear way to book a party. And it had to do all of that for a small bar team that needs to update prices, specials and menus themselves.
We built the site around the questions guests ask before a visit: what self-pour is, how duckpin works, what's on tap, what there is to eat and drink, and whether they can book the place for a group. The navigation follows those questions directly, with Self Pour Tap Wall, Food & Beverage, Duckpin and Events & More in the header, and every homepage section leads into one of them. A bold, playful website design with the venue's duck mascot, big condensed headlines and real photos of the lanes and taps matches the energy of the space.
Underneath, the site runs on WordPress and Elementor. The tap list is pulled in live from Untappd so it never goes stale, private event inquiries go straight into the venue's Tripleseat booking system, and the menus, specials and FAQs are simple Elementor sections the team can edit without a developer.

The What's On Tap page embeds the venue's Untappd board, so all 30 self-pour taps are listed with style, ABV, brewery and price per ounce. When a keg changes behind the wall, the website updates with it.
The playful duck mascot, bold type and real photos of the lanes, taps and bar make the website feel like Crafted Copper today, not the quieter cocktail lounge it started as. Visitors get the vibe of the place before they walk in.
Self-pour and duckpin are new to a lot of guests. Dedicated pages, a how-it-works video and a clear FAQ explain both in plain language, so people arrive knowing how the wristband, the lanes and the waitlist work.
The tap list updates itself from Untappd, and the cocktail menu, food menu, happy hour and weekly specials are simple sections the team edits in Elementor. The website stays as current as the chalkboard behind the bar.
Event pricing, guest limits and packages are laid out on one page, and every Book Your Event button leads to an inquiry form connected to the venue's Tripleseat system. Planners have what they need to reach out, and the events team gets complete inquiries.
